AC ISSUE

So the EC light was on = Freon low most likely.
Had it recharged and filled with DYE so we could find the leak.

Found a TINY leak. Compressor works fine thank God.
Light was off for about a day.
The light came back on, but I am able to BYPASS it by Restarting the car and clicking the EC button off. AC works fine!

From previous posts when you hold RESET and go to #7, that tells you the Freon level.
Anything below 10 is "low". Mine fluctuates from 14-6, to 3 at times.

Here are my 2 questions:
1. What # should the Freon be at?
2. Do I need to CLEAR the error codes with a scanner to keep that EC light off? I recently unplugged the battery for other reasons and had to reprogram quite a few things. I was told this way would ALSO clear the error codes.

Thanks ahead of time!

When my car is started, and the AC is turned on, without touching the gas, as high as 15. 7 while driving, 11/12 while waiting at lights. Mine has never leaked and blows very cold air. Thats a photo of an infrared pyrometer checking the vent temperature.
