AC ISSUE
Had it recharged and filled with DYE so we could find the leak.
Found a TINY leak. Compressor works fine thank God.
Light was off for about a day.
The light came back on, but I am able to BYPASS it by Restarting the car and clicking the EC button off. AC works fine!
From previous posts when you hold RESET and go to #7, that tells you the Freon level.
Anything below 10 is "low". Mine fluctuates from 14-6, to 3 at times.
Here are my 2 questions:
1. What # should the Freon be at?
2. Do I need to CLEAR the error codes with a scanner to keep that EC light off? I recently unplugged the battery for other reasons and had to reprogram quite a few things. I was told this way would ALSO clear the error codes.
Thanks ahead of time!
