I live in So Cal... so I would never need winter mode.. It will never snow... it barely rains as it is...

But, for those who might need to switch it, you know where the switch is, so just push down on it. It will still engage like it normal would, you just don't see it.

Looks good Danny! My only suggestion would be trimming the boot slightly. It may just be the appearance in the picture, but it looks to fold a little more than I prefer. Nevertheless, thumbs up to you! That's something I've wanted to do for a while.

yeah, the boot has the appearance of too much slack... can't really TUCK the leather, because it is glued and hemmed onto the plastic frame/anchor clips... i could probably remove & reglue... but too lazy for that....

i think a simpler solution would be to just install the knob a little higher... i pushed it ALL the way down.... if the knob was a little higher, the boot wouldn't wrinkle as much.

Wow, I think all four of the knobs look pretty damn nice. I think your new title should be "King of the Knobs" or something like that.

How hard/easy it is to change those things out. From the looks of it, you must change your knob to match the suit you are wearing that day.

i'd have to say.. .more likely to match the color of my hair...

you've never tried changing the shift knob? it is so easy. just twist the little piece at the bottom counter-clockwise until it stop... and pull the knob straight up. it comes right off.

Danny, you truly are the master of knobs.

Seriously though, nice mod. I'd love that 6 speed leather knob........but I'd rather have the actual 6 speed to connect it to. It's too bad MB usa won't let us have those manual trannys.
