Update:
Ok... after reading numerous reviews, going to the BBB, checking out warranty underwriters, and comparing prices, I'm leaning towards
Warranty Direct .
The cost for an extended 4yr/50K warranty with a $0 deductible is approx $2300. If I wait until the MB factory warranty runs out, the pricing and coverage become MUCH less attractive.
So unless anybody knows something about these guys that I don't, or has some massive horror story about Warranty Direct, I plan on purchasing the warranty from them.
Thanks-
Chris

Chris: Caution
BBB might rate WD high, the questions you should ask your MB Service Manager:
Will you honor this policy? Will you collect from WD?
If not, you will have to pay the MB dealership for repairs and then collect from WD...zero deductible!?
Danny -
This is the reviewer's pix. I am getting ready for the 8 MP Sony 828 which will debut in November.

Rationale:
Isabel will bypass S. Florida - no losses
(keeping my finger's crossed)

According to the the discussion forums, the 828 will be out in the UK in the next couple of days, another thread states that the intro in the US could be delayed. Also, it's rumored, that the 5700 will be replaced next spring with a new model, which could be dynamite...I definitely would NOT get the 717, you are too close to the best digicam of the year!!

Because of their "attractive" coverages, I had previously purchased two policies from them, only to recently understand that their insurer has declared bankruptcy which has frozen all of their funds until things are settled in court.
So the money I spent with them is apparently now worthless!
