I prefer the pirelli over the nitto. The nitto gave a more comfortable ride definitely quiter, but the pirelli is a little stickier definitely handles better. Only other thing i can advise on is that the nitto gets more mileage, but personally i like the looks and performance of the pirelli.

pirelli makes a lot of high performance tires, but i don't think the pirelli p7000s are that high performing though...
the nittos are bargain performance tires with great tread life...
the p7000s are more of all-season-sport tires...
if you are not going for max performance tires, just get a quiet, long lasting tire..

I have the Pirelli P7000's on my car. I can't compare them to the Nitto's cause I've tried them but I had Dunlop SP Sports on before. The Pirellis are definitely a much nicer ride than the Dunlops. Definitely a better grip. I have also heard that the tread life isn't as good as other tires but my boyfriend has them on both his SEC and 850. He stands by the Pirelli's and insisted that I get them also. For me, living in New York I need tires that I could use in the winter so these work out perfectly.
It was a great choice.

pirelli tires are indeed great... but most people who've used them have very similar opinons on them...
a lot of people live and breathe PIRELLI...
but many complain about this:
- max perf. have very very short tire tread life
- max perf. tires get very loud after about half tread
- weak sidewalls result in easy sidewall bubbles from hitting potholes
just my opinion...

Yecchh. I wouldn't have either.
When there are so many excellent tires out there, why would you buy this stuff?

well....sorry MR baller dude! If I had $300 to spend per front tire, and $350 per rear tire, I KNOW there are Yokohamas, Michellin Sports, Pzeros, And the s-03's. The question was "does anybody have any experience w/ either of these model of tires......NITTO 555 and Pirelli P7000." I ended up going with a 235/265 Pirelli P7000 set up .

If you remember to, report back and let us know your feeling about road noise after about half tread life... my friend's CLK is running 18" w/ P7000SS and he said its starting to get real noisy....
