Roll over bar limit switch fault on w208
Hi All
recently purchased a 2000 Elegance for my wife and the roof stopped working when my wife raised and then lowered the roll over bar so after checking as much as i could i took the car to MB who confirmed the roll over bar lowered limit switch was at fault and you cant replace just this switch, has anyone come across this please? any indies in the Kent area willing to repair? or any pointers i would be very grateful thanks Julian

The retracted (S83/5) and extended (S83/6) rollbar switch locations are shown in my post #4 at:

From the parts manual, it does appear that replacement of the rollbar assembly is required (see below).
