Tips On Lower Ball Joint Removal/Installl

Hi Everyone,

I decided to install some new 6000K HID lights in my black projectors, change out the steering dampener, tighten my steering gear bolts and attempted to remove the lower ball joints.

Is it just me or is it impossible to get at the top of the ball joint near the nut where you would stick an allen key to stablilize it from spinning. There doesnt seem to be enough clearance to get at it. Are there any tricks to this? I got the horizontal nut off no problem although I cant punch it out.

Please help!

Use a large hammer to hit the horizontal bolt out first.

Exactly what I ended up doing! Used a 10lb hammer and it took some elbow grease but finally the suckers are out and my front end has never felt better.
