How is it held on??

Could someone explain how the metal part, a strip of sorts, that goes between the windshield and front of the door and extends from the roof down to above where the fender/hood, is fastened to the car? If you know what it's called that would be cool too. If you click on my photo profile to the left, you can clearly see the area I am speaking of.

Mine has started coming lose for some reason but I can't tell from looking at it how it is held on, there are no bolts on the outside of it. I would like to know how it is fastened before I attempt to remove it to find out why it has come lose.

I can lift up on the top part (closest to the roof) so I'm sure water can get down in it when raining. It looks silly sticking up the way it does but the passenger side is tight and snug like always.

Edit: Since I have so many views and no replies I assume nobody knows what I am speaking of so here's a pic.

Thanks in advance.....

so you have to move the wiper out of the way then you pull up the rubber strip at the bottom of the A pillar and you will see a screw.....undo the screw and you will see a slide plate which you push up the A pillar then lift from the bottom of the A pillar whilst sliding the cover towards the middle of the windscreen and the top of the cover slides down towards the bonnet.......I don't if that makes sense....I have pictures on the WIS but do not know how to place in here....hope the helps...

Ok, thanks for the info. I will take a look at it the next warm day. Either way I want to fix this issue so perhaps I either need a new clip(s) or when/if I get it removed the old clip may still be there. I hope this works.

Thanks again.
