Soft Top Problems
Hi, I have 2 problems with my soft top. I already know how to solve one of the problems with my soft top: broken cable.
The 2nd problems is kinda new, when the soft top is coming all the way down I can hear a "crank" noise and the soft top stop from going down (10/20cm from being completely dropped). However, if I raise the soft top a little bit and drop it again, it will go all the way down and the process of lowering the soft top is completed.
There is a video of my soft top (sorry for the bad quality):
The crank noise can be heard at the 0:19 and 0:30 position and it stops from going down at the 0:22 and 0:30 position. The raise at 00:43 and the process is complete at 0:50.
I already check the pump fluid and it's perfect.

I look a little bit more to the "2nd problem". It seems that the windscreen section of the soft top doens't go down enough at the trunk and the rest of the soft top can't lower because it hits the windscreen section. If I push it down manually, I dont have the problem. As I said on the previous post, when the soft top gets stuck if I up it a little bit and lower it again, the process is complete without problem. If it completes, I'm guessing that is some problem with some switch that it isn't doing or activate something at the 1st time and when I up the soft top a little bit, it activates and I have no problem lowering it.
There is some switch that control the windscreen section? Where is it?

Well this problem was solved with a simple disconnect of the battery for 30 minutes. Some fault kept the switch or whatever to work when I was lowering the soft top and when I press the button to close it, it activate and the process of lowering could be completed.
