Just picked up an 02 CLK430 Designo. I have a question about teh driver side power seat. The motors work in all directions, but the seat back tilt seems to stop before I think it should. It's not uncomfortable, but I just think it should tilt a bit further. The passenger seat works as expected. Is this broken or is it working as designed? How far forward does your drivers seat back tilt forward?
THanks,
-J

Are you talking about sitting in the drivers seat and tilting the back of the seat forward? I cant see why you would want the back of the seat forward more upright or leant back more then anything.

Correct, the seat back tilt. Mine seems to hit a stop before I think it should... At it's furthest point forward, it is significantly further back than the pass side. I haven't run the pass side all the way forward, but I'd say the pass will go tighter than 90*, while the drivers side at max forward tilt is probably 115-120*. My driving position is not all laid back. It's also not vertical for sure... Think NASCAR, not INDYCAR. (though I like indycars better) Seat bottom @lowest setting in the back, seat bottom front tilted up to support my thigh, seat back forward enough to sit upright. Like a racing seat.

Depending on the position of the rest of the seat, the back will have limits. Try to lower or raise the seat bottom and then try to adjust the back forward.

I was able to fix it by flipping the release lever and pulling the seat back forward. Then I ran the seat tilt adjustment forward and flipped the seat back. Good to go!
Thanks!

I've also thought that my seat back does not go back that far. I will try what you suggest . So you lift the lever and bring the back of the seat forward, then use the tilt adjustment in the forward direction and then flip the seat back . Do I then recline the seat after this to see if it goes back further?

Exactly what I did, yes. I hope it works for you!
