fuel pump
Can any of you guys hear your fuel pump while the car is running, I noticed it today while looking under the back of the car. Not sure if I just never paid attention or perhaps the fuel filter is getting stuffed up a bit

will someone humor me and start there car up and go near the rear passenger wheel and let me know if they can hear the fuel pump?

If the fuel pump is making noise you may want to ensure the blue insulation around the pump is intact.

If I listen closely from inside the car I can hear the pump. I can't hear anything above the exhaust and engine noise from outside the car.

it sounds like a fuel pump making a zzzzzzzz noise as it works. I didn't see any blue insulation on or near it.

If the insulator isn't there, it should be. Being bright blue, it's kind of hard to miss.

Fuel Pump
You might want to change the fuel filter to prevent the pump from over-working itself.Never hurts to give your baby clean fuel!

there is no blue anywhere under there! I bought a fuel filter now I just need a decent day to finish it.

That may be why you're hearing noise. On my car, its purpose appears to be as an insulator. You can probably make your own with sheet rubber.
