How many ???

This might be an interesting question for the future value of our cars. Who knows, how many of the CLK 320/ 430 convertible where sold worldwide?? Or is there a web site with the numbers.
they show how many of each model car was sold... but, they only have those figures for model 2000 cars and prior... they aren't quite up to date yet... but it gives you an approximate idea...
The MBUSA website shows only the cars sold in the US.
It would be interesting to know, how many MB have sold worldwide.
Thanks for the info.

in terms of a percentage breakdown, most model sales will be about the same... so if you happen to know the overall volume by class, you can probably make a fairly good educated guess at how much each style/model was sold...
btw, what interest do you have in how many were sold worldwide??? just curious
Thanks for your reply.
The reason, I brought this question to the forum is, I'm trying to figure out the depreciation of the CLK convertible. I traded my E320 convertible for the CLK. I thought, I've got a pretty good deal because the dealer had offered me more money for the E320 then I've paid for 2 years ago. After the deal was done I checked the prices of the E320 on eBay and to my surprise I noticed the prices of the E320 are going up because they sold only about 6,000 in the US. I also checked the prices on the CLK convertible and it seams (at least in the moment) the CLK depreciates dramatically. So I'm wondering if the CLK will ever become a collector's car like the E320.
To mmgrad,
Thanks for your reply.

well, with any car, you should anticipate its value to depreciate. it is rare (as in your case) to have a car appreciate in value after 2 years...
The CLK is no exception to the typical depreciation schedules a normal vehicle faces.... However, you should be happy to know that the CLK is the Luxury vehicle that retains the highest retail value according to a recent study by ALG last year... This is more so true for the convertibles compared to my coupe... so you should be in very good hands.
While I don't expect your car's value to go up, if you take care of your car and you are in good locale, I don't suspect your car's value to depreciate much....
