Dont get me wrong though, Renntech is a great company that does amazing work. But you definitely pay for the quality. Putting a renntech box on a car as old as ours seems like a waste of money. That 2k can be better used toward engine mods, suspension mods, exhaust mods, wheels, interior, etc...

Expensive, yes. But the age of the car shouldn't limit your choices of upgrade. My 55 is 13 years old but still purrs like a kitten. I was just throwing out an option that the original poster may or may not have known about. Cheers!

True same here. I just found out my car was assembled June 9, 2000. So it's almost 14 and runs perfectly. Moral of the story is: dont be cheap. The car lasts forever.

Tesla Model S
The Renntech box is still absurdly priced for what it does. The AMG box with some good filters will give you around 15 RWHP (I've dyno tested this). 2k+core is not worth it vs. the 400 or so an AMG box will cost, no matter how pretty the carbon fiber is.

+1 for what the other guys said here though. These cars cost bucks to mod but they're a classic IMO. The 208 is a great car with a timeless design. I've had mine for 14 years as well and it runs beautifully.
