HID Conversion Kits
I have normal halogens in my clk and I am thinking about installing one of those HID conversion kits. Has anyone ever tried this?

Are the reflectors the same color on the factory HID fixtures as the factory halogen fixtures? Is the front glass/plastic the same?
Basically, will using the conversion kit be like having factory HIDs?

No, the beam pattern is different with the halogen lights. If you simply swap your bulbs with HID retrofits, your light will not be distributed correctly. The only proper way to retrofit HID is to buy the entire OEM lamp assembly. Evosport sells them, as does Bekkers.
