Found a clk55 201 for $3000 needs work but thinking of picking it up need to go take a peek and see how it really is in person. i know where a white clk 55 is available for parts close by at a autowrecker.
whats yours opinion on the front end damage?

With the way these cars depreciate, I think you would be happier finding a clean one. These cars are not cheap to repair. I'm assuming you plan to do all the work yourself?
I would recommend finding a low mileage garage queen. You could easily spend more in the end on a messed up example fixing it up than finding a nice one to begin with. $10-15k can get you a really cherry w208 AMG.

My clk 430 has mega kms on it. It has been a good car although no major issues and yes i fix my own stuff. Was more a less thinking of getting it for parts and replacing engine tranny ecu and suspension parts, as well my drivers seat is slowly degrading..
But if it wasn't too bad contemplating on just redoing it and having a 3rd car. That car has under 100,000kms mine has 240,000km. I love the body lines of these coupes and for me they easy to fix and very reliable.
I had found one close (clk55) by here but the owner is a wack job wanted a lot for it and it had missing parts: no explanation for it and it made me wonder how it was treated and its past.

I see. In that case, it looks like you found a great parts/donor car! I wouldn't want to fix that.Originally Posted by jaycky
