State Troopers Swarm Florida for Holidays.
Bears in the air.
Stealth SUV's with video cameras and radar
guns. Nearly three dozen more troopers on
the road.
Consider yourself warned.
Starting today and running through the
weekend, the Florida Highway Patrol is
cracking down on speeders as never
before.
FHP is so determined that it has drained its
own administrative offices to put more
troopers on the road to handle the
expected tidal wave of driving vacationers.
That means supervisors, investigators,
court liaisons, recruiters and spokespeople
will leave their desks and telephones and
return to their patrol cars and radar guns.
