scrapped front lip - what to do?
I'm still in belief, but entering a parking lot my front lip made contact with the pavement (just kissed it - just enough to make some scratch marks - not broken or damaged). I was shocked, I did not think it was a very drastic incline! Makes me wonder about putting the H&Rs on the car that are in the box in my garage. hmmm 
So. I'm going to buff out as much out as possible short term, but eventually I'm going to replace the whole section (even though I'm the only one that will know it is scratched - it is still going to irk the sh*t out of me).
* Anybody replaced a damaged one and know the cost?
* Is it something I can remove / install myself?
* Would I be correct to assume that the part will be unpainted and I will need to have it painted?
* Am I nuts to replace the piece or would you have it removed, sanded and repainted, then replaced?
* Order the part and let the dealer do everything - or take the part to a body shop?
* Who would you trust to do the work in Dallas?

It would be cheaper to have it repainted. The lip doesn't come pre-painted. If it's low enough underneath, I'd just ignore it. I've got H&R's on mine, and the only scrape occured before I put them on.

You can get it repainted for relatively cheap ($200-400). Any good paint shop can repaint and blend the paint into the curve of your airdam and you won't notice the difference. I have a company that does a lot of touch up work for car dealers and they have done the spray on many of our cars with great results. The best way of course is to remove the entire dam and repaint it entirely but that will cost you some green.

Since it is new, wait. You may scrape/hit a couple more unexpected bumps.
If it is not visible, I would ignore it. After a year - and if it still bothers you - take action.
