Question Camber adjustment kit?

hey guys, where can i get a camber adjustment kit? rear there is too much negative camber (this was discussed a month or so ago) and its just chewing the inside of my tires to the point where its not safe. front is also a problem i believe, just not nearly as severe. where can i get this camber adjustment kit or whatever it is that i need? and how much? TIA

...........You need a K-mac camber adjustment kit. The company is based in Australia. You can also order this through Renntec, but my understanding is that it is the exact same kit, just re-packaged and more expensive. One kit works for various chasis, so it is not exactly a custom fit. It requires quite a bit of adjustment and work and even more patience. The link to the company is below.

Wowww.. it is still costly just for a camber kit.

Petie, how often do you change your tires? One thing you can do though, if you have camber wear on the tires, dismount both the left and right tires, and switch them. That way you don't have to buy new tires every half a year. :-)

You didn't say....

whether the majority of the problem was, but if it's in the front, just buy the MB crash bolts, install them and let a sharp alignment guy get you back on track. The bolts are a W202 part number, and as I recall they cost about $8 each. Hope this helps.

Unfortunately the crash bolts only let you take out about .75° of camber. I have over double that (-1.75°). I'm researching whether H&R triple C bolts will work. Some people have had success with them on Benzes and I'm going to see if it works for me. It would be a much more cost effective solution.

Josh, don't you have to maintain about -1° of camber? If my memory serves me correctly, the guy in the alignment shop told me so. I might be wrong.
But, for $8 a piece, I would definitely get them. :-)

I'd be curious to know....

if the H&R bolts work too. I've contacted them about it, and all they've done is scratch their head. They do have a 203 part number, maybe that will work?

i think it is OK to have UP TO 1° of camber... but, the less you have the better...

hey, when a set of tires run over $1,000... you want the camber to be as right as possible... they already have ***** poor treadware, why mess with excessive camber wear on top of that...

you would actually ask about W202 parts as the W203 is the new/current C-Class, and that is the wrong chassis...
