- The CLK320 side skirts, and front & rear bumper valances were redesigned - now body color

- Designo trim packages available (Slate Blue or Espresso)
- Fiber-optic system for communication / sound system introduced
- New multifunction display with steering wheel controls

- Touch-shift transmissions were added. The transmissions were also upgraded with a roller bearing rather than a troublesome brass bushing that had been used in prior years.
- Turn signal repeaters in side mirrors (moved from the front fender)
- One touch windows for both Up/Down function. The prior years hadone touch down only.
- COMAND system available
- Motorola Star-Tac phone available
- Tele-Aid introduced
- Voice activated system available (Linguatronic in other markets)
- Black Birdseye maple, body color door handles, the window trim was changed to Black Hematite as was the AMG body trim, AMG wheels on V8 models
- V6 models received brown burl walnut, chrome accent door handles, chrome window surround
- Two-tone Nappa leather interiors available (with certain body colors) on V8 models
We may run the CLK artcle in the next edition of the Southwest Star. If not this edition, the next. It's either the CLK or a 300 SEL 6.3 article that we've been sitting on.
