2001 CLK 55 AMG

Did 160 MPH a couple times late at night on I-5 next to Camp Pendleton where there are high guardrails and no on-ramps for those sneaky CHP bastages to hide. Funny thing was coasting down to 110 MPH and feeling like it was around 55 MPH. Did it again on I-8 in Calif desert and pitted my windshield from drifting sand. D'oh! Supposedly the limiter stops spark plug firings at 155 MPH but my needle indicated 160. I did all this when my '01 CLK55 was just broken in. I don't think I'd take the chance doing over 110 MPH in it now. Plus 13 years later, I'm a little wiser (and more boring!)

Good to see another old timer like Ahmed still kicking around this board these days!

Clk 430

135 in a clk 430. It climbed up pretty quick but sat there steady so I assumed the limiter kicked in. I'll change the plugs oil and filter and hit it again though.
