Can somebody recommend quality body shop somewhere around San Francisco or Bay Area.
Can somebody recommend quality body shop somewhere around San Francisco or Bay Area. Need to fix and paint front bumper and one of the fenders on my CLK.

Just got back from Cooks.
Just got back from Cooks. Their prices seem to be REALLY high. I have a scratch on the bumper and a small dent on the fender. They want more then $2000 for that. I didn’t want to go through my insurance (even thought it wasn’t my fault, the car was hit on the parking lot) because my deductible is $1000 and they can still rise my premium because of the claim. What do you think? Did anybody claimed your own policy for damages like that? Did they raised your premium?

I had EMC Collision (Fremont) repaint a fender on a beamer I used to have for a key scratch. They did a great job and it was $500-600 from what I recall. Another place that I've heard great things about but is a bit pricey is Brooks Motor Cars (Oakland). They work primarily on Mercedes and high end cars.

He does all the cars for the Boardwalk dealerships, has worked on my cars, as well as my fathers (he's a vintage car collector). You pay cash, but you save a ton of $. His number is (650) 368-4590. A late response, but I also want to put in props for Brooks Motor Cars in Oakland. They do mostly Mercedes, but they are also factory authorized by Audi and Jaguar for the aluminum cars. I think they will be authorized by MBUSA for upcoming aluminum component cars as well. Not many shops are equipped or trained to do this type of work.
