Wiring loom 320 - 500

So I'm converting my 1999 clk320 to a 500, don't know what car the 500 engine will be out of yet but it should be the m113 series.
If I pull the wiring harness from another clk430 in theory it should plug straight into my clk and with minor adjustments plug straight into the 500 engine aye?
Cause then I can also plug all the 500 computers straight in aswell hopefully
It's all trail and error

2002 CLK430
A 500 with ME 2.8 has the same electronics as a 430 with ME 2.8. I would guess that an ME 2.0 (pre-2001) wiring harness would work with the ME 2.0 engine components. Injectors, MAF, etc. I mention that because some 500 parts from an ME 2.8 vehicle may not plug into the ME 2.0 harness. For example, the 2001/2002 CLK430 uses the same MAF as a 500, and the electric plug is definitely different from the ME 2.0 plug. The electronics can all be overcome though. You can always use an ME 2.0 500. The interesting thing will be the oil pan and pump. You can get a CLK430 pan and it will fit. Please post back with your findings in regards to the 500 oil pump and the CLK430 oil pan. Also, I’d be very interested in knowing which car or SUV the 500 comes out of. Model and year. That could impact the oil pump used.

Do I gotta pull the entire wiring loom from the whole car? Or can I do a cheeky way to cut the 430 loom into just the engine part of the 320s loom? Haha

2002 CLK430
Unless I'm mistaken, and I don't think I am, the engine wiring harness is a separate part and is simply unplugged from a donor car and plugged into yours. It has to be a pre-2001 CLK430 harness though. Ash (screen name VIPCLK320) has actually been down this road. He took an ME 2.0 CLK320, converted it to ME 2.8, and installed a 55. What you've got in mind sounds much simpler.

Sweet tha will make the job much easier if it is. Yeh I have seen ashs work, very impressive. We have got one 55 amg supercharged engine but it needs rebuilding to work and we don't have the computers for it. Also we have plenty of 500s to choose from.
I'll be taking the trans with the 500 so other parts I need to do are just the diff and drive shaft (make it the right length if it's not). Suspension brakes and all that need doing anyway because car has sat for about 4 years

Also real quick (sorry I'm picking your brain) do you think the computers from the donor car will be straight plug in?
This isn't a work shop Job by the way, we're not doing everything exactly how it should be done, just doing it so it works. Like hell im straight piping the hell out of it
