Koni shocks and installation.

About a year ago I lowered my car with H&R springs but did not change the original shocks. I used #2 pads upfront and #1 pads in back. At the time, the front gap was a little bit bigger than the back (probably a finger or two worth of space)l, but a few months ago i started noticing squeeks coming from my shocks when i drove over bumps or went over potholes. So i finally realized that its time to change my shocks. So i got a set of Koni shocks a few days ago. Also at this time, the front of the car sits clearly higher than it used to before, so the gap is bigger, (i believe due to the bad shocks), actually the gap is a little two big for my comfort.
My question is, do you guys think i should go 2/1 pads again, or do you think i should go with 1/1 this time around? if not, what other combination do you think i could use to get that clean, same size all around look?

I'm also in the LA/SF Valley area. Does anybody know of any shop thats good and affordable to get my new Koni shocks installed at?

By the way, my car is a CLK320 with 18 Inch Brabus wheels.

I want to thank those who reply to my long and confusing post in advance, your comments would greatly be appreciated.

If you had a 430 or a 55, I would keep the 2/1 ratio that you have. Both cars typically come with a step higher in the front due to the increased engine weight. If you change to a 1/1, you may find it to be uncomfortable. Since you have a 320, you should probably change to a 1/1 setup.

Our shop is located in Huntington Beach, if you would like to come out to us.
