Fuel pump removal
Fuel pump removal
What is the trick to remove the plug to the fuel pump in a 2000 clk320? I can not see it from the trunk or cabin area with the bottom of the seat removed.

Take a look at this thread, it will help you out.

Thanks for your reply Mark. I did a search and that was one of the threads I read through. I could not find anything that said were the male plug of the fuel pump plugs into the female end in the cabin. I have the car on my car lift and will take a closer look over the weekend.

From your title I'm assuming you are just removing the fuel pump. If so, you only need to remove the power wires at the fuel pump. You don't need to disconnect it at the other end.
There shouldn't be any power at the fuel pump with the key off, but just to be safe, pull the fuel pump fuse located in the trunk.

Had a chance to work on the CLK 320 Cabriolet today. Changed the fuel pump and filter, it started right up after a couple cycles and after 5 min sputtered and stopped. Will not start again.
No power is getting to the fuel pump. Change the fuel pump relay and checked the fuse. Not sure what to now check. Oh Ya I changed the CPS. Very aggravating. Any help would be appreciated.
