W208 Rain Sensor

W208 Rain Sensor
Had my CLK55 in the MB dealership this past week (8/10/2015) for a windshield replacement due to a stress crack. The rain sensor was replaced in February 2015 due to it being bad. In February 2015, OEM glass and an OEM sensor were both installed together.
So now there's a February 2015 rain sensor installed to the new OEM glass.
NOW when I turn my setting to intermittent/rain sensor, it swipes 5 times. I was told previously it is only supposed to do one swipe. It DOES work in the rain, however. But it seems too sensitive. Just a slight drizzle and it's swiping fast.
What is the problem here? There's no way a 4 month old sensor is bad again.
Thanks for the input everyone.

Even though it is new it might have some fingerprints or debris on it.
Try swabbing with a moist tissue, I swabb mine quite a bit, Florida has been hit hard with rain this year. It is located in the back of the rear view mirror.
Any smudge on the windshield will cause nuisance wipes as well
