Buzzing noise from the nav
Buzzing noise comes from the nav when my car is moving. It doesn't make that noise all the time (but that bugs me), it gets more severe when I drive on bumpy roads. I brought my car to the dealer, they replaced the whole unit, but it makes the noise again. Does anyone know what causes that?

i had the same thing happen to me in a boxster s once....its probably your cell phone that's been placed too close to the nav or stereo.....never had it happen to me in my clk but you never know...try placing the phone in another place...perhaps that will help....if not then use your warranty...bring it to the dealer....

There is a small fan on the left side of the COMAND and it is on all the time. It is about 2/3 the size of a computer CPU fan. This may be the noise you are talking about. You can hear it slightly when you don't have music on.

I have a buzzing noise coming from the OVERHEAD control unit, next to the right
of the SOS button. It's annoying as hell, buzzing into my right ear.
I refuse to have music drown out this buzzzz!
I also notice a very faint blower noise in the COMMAND unit. But is is so faint,
that it is a non-issue,- for now.
Made appointment w/MB service, to have the overhead buzz eliminated/corrected
next week.

That's the aspirator motor, Karl. It's what the automatic climate control uses to measure the interior temperature. It's a tiny fan that sucks in air and blows it past a sensor. Yours probably has some debris stuck in it, making it louder than normal.

Tnx Dave!
That overhead aspirator has become a roaring lion.- Well, -- almost.
Its only 12" from my brain. I need every cell.
Hope MB doesn't give me the proverbial: "They ALL DO IT!" MB Autohaus Pompano has been excellent all around, - looking forward to get a new E320 loaner.
