18s or 19s any performance difference for CLK 320?
I want to know if putting in 19s cause any performance issues for a 320 CLK compared to 18s?
I am running 19s on my CLK 430 they look beautiful and I recomended those to my brother (who just got a CLK 320 w208).
But he thinks it would have a bad impact on the acceleration of his car (due to puny 320 engine) and wants to go for 18s.
My question is if the outer diameter and the thickness of the tires are the same there shouldn't be any difference between 18s and 19s (You would get 35 series rubber for 19s instead of getting 40 series for 18s)
I am I right?

If you're mainly concerned about acceleration, the more important factor rather than wheel size, will be the difference in weight between a a given 18" wheel and tire package vs. a 19" wheel and tire package.
And a 320 engine is not puny:p
