Super CLK?

I have a friend who is interested in getting a W208 CLK. I think he wants to do a few mods to it once he gets it. So I told him about the extreme end of modification and that was Sleestack's CLK that I have read about Evosport working on.

Do you have any pics of it Sleestack? I remember reading some posts a while back that it was going to be done soon. You mentioned that they've had it for the last 18 months. Is it done yet?

I'd like to show my friend some pics of that 700 hp monster!

Nah... that's Ben's car (Mach430). A very nice car also.

I think Sleestack's car is black. It's supposed to have a huge *** engine with 700 hp.

Ben's car has the KLEEMANN supercharger on it.

Any updates Evosport? Sleestack? I want to show my friends some pics. I found some pics through searching such as that HUGE *** cylinder ans some pistons. That thing's gonna be a monster. Is it going to have quad exhausts too?

I'm a big fan of the 208 body style. I think it looks more aggressive and muscular than the 209.

I found some pics of the development.

This one was posted 1-2-2003:

This one was posted 1-3-2003:

And this engine block was posted 2-24-2003:

Those posts were like over a year ago. I wonder what's taking so long. I hope there isn't some sort of bad hold up or complication because that thing is surely going to be monstrous.

Surely you must have seen your car lately Sleestack to know its current status.

Is everything going ok Sleestack? Evosport?

Nothing wrong guys. The engine had been balanced and was almost ready to go, however, Evosport decided they wanted an additional millimeter of clearance in 2 of the outer cylinders. After some deliberation, I gave them the go ahead to have new pistons and rods made. Rods are done and pistons should be in this week. The bodywork is almost done (as seen by mmgrad) and the internal, suspension, brakes, etc. are either in progress or can't be addressed uintil the engine is in the car. A minor blip, but things should be wrapping up soon.

Thanks for posting pics. I have some additional pictures of the rods and some of the body work, however, I'm going to wait until it is done to create a folder of pictures that contain the project photos form start to finish.

Oh man, that's great to hear. I was getting worried for you Sleestack.

I think I will stop by evosport to check it out. I'll bring my camera too to snap some photos of the monster in development. I know my friend would like to see some pics of it almost done.

14" Brembos must be so sweet.

Since you're doing the engine, you gotta be upgrading the interior a little bit too. Suede headliner?

I wanna see that monster before it leaves socal.

It will be there for at least another 6 weeks, so ther is no rush. furthermore, if you want to check it out, you can always meet up with me when I fly down to check it out. I'll probably have an open invitation to any MBworld member who wants to take a spin.

Whoever gets the best traction

BTW, did you know he's building a V12 twin turbo project? At last info, he's still trying to decide what chassis to drop it into

I'm not sure if Benzmac dropped in his NOS system yet. If not, I should have more power and torque. I'm not sure about gearing or weight. We're going with 305s in the rear so traction should be much improved. It would be an interesting race, but, unfortunately, will probably always remain academic.

As for Benzmac's new V12 project... I would love to see that motor in classic american muscle car.

I don't know. It's been a couple months since I've been up to the shop

************

Sleestack, can't we remedy the situation? ROAD TRIP!!

FWIW, his 11.5 time was done w/o nitrous.....but those sticky 305s would give you a great launch (to say the least)

I imagine you're going with a wide bodykit to fit those 305's right? The squat on that car should be pretty amazing.

Not a widebody, just some custom flaring of the lorinser F1 fenders and the standard rear fenders.
