Which way to go 18" or 19" rims?
I have a 2000 CLK430 and not planning on upgrading the suspension. Just want to change the wheels. Please advise also on the tire sizes (front and rear). Thanks in advance.

by increasing your wheel size, and not lowering your car, your car will look as if it is a 4X4. If you don't want to upgrade the suspension, at least consider changing out your spring pads to close the huge gap that you will get.

CLK 430
I'm considering the same option for my bone stock 01 430, but am hesitating for exactly the same reasons stated above. I was looking real hard at the 18" ASA ST4s from TireRack, but am worried about the appearance if I leave the suspension alone. (car is leased) I'm also woried about the unknown effect such a move will have on ride-quality and performance.
In my case, I need to make a decision soon, cause the tires are cupped, and at least one rim is slightly bent. Luke @ TireRack tells me I'll be OK with the proposed setup, but now I'm thinking that maybe sticking with 17s might be my best bet. Too bad the OEM wheels are so expensive. It's a tough call...
