Do I need new rotors?
So I'm bringing in my car next Monday for new brake pads (got the "Brake lining wear - visit workshop" message).
On the phone, the service advisor asked my mileage and informed me that I may need new rotors as well. (53K miles? wtf?)
Is there an easy way for me to tell if I need new rotors? I don't want to spend another $400 if its unnecessary.

MB's OEM brake pads are very hard thereby causing much friction on the rotors, so your rotors lose material faster than most other cars. 54,000 miles is pretty good for a set a rotors, I second the opinion on tireracks brembos, inexpensive and easy to replace, as long as you know how to bleed your brakes, otherwise leave it to a pro...
