Clk 430
Engine change

I got a clk 430 year 00 and I got an offer for a M113.992 engine. From what I can find nd out are my engine an this one in basic the same engine. But what kind of problem can I get if I do the change? I guess the engine controll is different and will need to be changed, or? I am ok with engine mechanics but the electronics, engine controll and so on is not my strong side, yet :-)

Anybody?

In any engine change, if putting a newer engine in an older car or what ever. Just use the electronics from the one that came with your car. Swap it all over to the new one and you will be fine.

If the M113.992 is a K motor, the original ECU won't control the supercharger clutch.
