koni yellow question

I am finally getting my H&R springs/koni adjustables install tomorrow. What setting on the koni shocks will make my clk430 comfortable? I was thinking of putting it on the most soft setting which I believe its 5?? but I am afraid I will rub when I go up speed bumps, turning left/right on to bumped/hilled roads. Which setting do you guys recommend? I am running 18" E55 rims with 225/40/18 front, and 255/35/18. Thanks

I don't think you'll have a problem. The tires are not that wide. 235/265 combo would be risky. I had that tire combo and EU AMG springs with #1 pads. Only a couple of rubs on the front inner fender when backing. Biggest problem was the wife bottoming out the front end on EVERYTHING! I repaired it 3 times before going back to stock.

I never used the Koni's but unless you are flying over the speedbumps and driveways, the soft setting won't cause more bottoming than a firm one.

Koni Sport Adjustables for W208 don't adjust by numbers. They go from soft to medium to hard, that's it. Go with the softest setting, which is much harder than your original shocks, and take it from there.
