new member
just bought a 2002 black/black clk430 last week. Love the car , already ordered the flat emblem as first mod, want to find some decent H6w bulbs, maybe hoen to get rid of the yellow city lights
and later will try suspension H&R + koni + sway bars. I 've read a lot of threads complaining about the way the car handles and I don't think it's that bad (just don't compare it to Porsche). Yes it's floaty but I think with the mods mentioned above around 1000$ in parts the car will be more than efficient. I saw somewhere a german test comparing a clk55 with an M5 around the track. Their lap times were almost the same. I know the amg is a much stronger car but I don't care for more power. the 430 power is more than enough for city driving. Maybe the set of pullies from evosport will make it a little more responsive but won't try that until warranty is close to expiry.

all of you here. I 've got great info just from browsing this board before I bought my car. It's a coupe and will post pics when it doesn't look factory anymore
