You can't see them, that's why you need to drill a few little holes.

Rob, you must been real damn lucky... cause that piece comes off ANYTIME the bottom section of the bumper goes through any abnormal flex (hitting the parking stop, large debri on the road, etc...)
Hmm...i've ran over a fallen road sign... and had to have my bumper removed and refinished... i've also hit a chickenwire fence cuz i was drunk :P Still on there... but i dont wanna try pulling on it... HAHA. I took a look at it about an hour ago.. and I cant seem to find what is really holding it there. Actually looks like its part of the bumper.

Just pull it and it will pop out, unless yours is secured with zip ties and you don't know.

yeah, you are quite lucky...

i would like to say that there are clips holding the insert in its slot, BUT, they aren't exactly clips... its kind of like one-sided anchors...

Yes they are very expensive to replace. But it does have a tab with an eyelet on both sides. Get some small plastic zip ties or whatever they are called and loop it through the eyelet and around the vertical post that the insert mounts to. Then just trim the tie. You won't ever be able to tell. For those of you that haven't lost one yet, save yourself some money and aggregation and secure it.

I'd post a pic but...
