Mercedes clk convertible
Gearbox issue

Hi guys.

Sorry to bother everyone I have a 2002 w208 clk 2.3 auto. Vehicle been sat for about 2.5 months. What's happening now is when I drive it it keeps knocking itself out of 3rd and 4th gear and selects neutral and the revs go all he way round to the rev limiter. Foot of throttle and the revs are still on the limiter. I have to pull over switch it of and restart then it goes okay for a while then same thing.

It's been on a stars machine but they couldn't 100% tell me what it was.

Code that keeps coming up is 147 gear implausible or transmission slipping

Has anyone had this issue or shine any light on it for me it would be very much appreciated

If you have DAS do a quick test and post the complete transmission faults and events!! All else you are wasting bandwidth!

Your not bothering us at all, and not wasting band width.
Things to check are fluid level, leaking connector. Also has there been any fluids spilled around the shift lever? Or moisture from sitting?
