2001 CLK 430 AMG
Window Adjustment
I have a 2001 CLK that had a new top installed before I bought it. When you roll the windows up they touch the gasket and then go back down about an inch. the only way to roll them up is to open the door. Also they leak in a heavy rain or even spray from a water hose. Made a huge mistake taking it to a car wash. I do notice when you close the door that the right door glass tightens up to the gasket but the left does not. HELP

First try a window resynch, that will reset the window program / travel limits.
The procedure is very easy and explained in your owner's manual.
On our cabriolets, the top must be up and the doors closed, when you do it.

If that does not work the door pin switch is failed. It lowers the window and signals lift of the window.
Easy test push in the switch with the door open (each door) a clue as to how they work.
If the lamp obeys the switch and the window not then a STAR C/3/4 should be used to inspect the door controller.
Never use a car wash machine with the top up this is for hang over only or sex haha
