01' CLK55
you are comparing 2 different cars. a regular coupe, and a AMG sedan. i'd say F-it and go for the o4 E55 =)

You've got a lot of choices mixed in here....

I'd narrow it down to 2: The CL500 or the '04 E55. Personally, I like coupes, so I'd go with the CL500 between these two.

BTW, have you considered the W209 CLK55?

Thanks for the responses guys. I love my clk but im looking for something bigger. Baby in the future plans. Im not a big fan of the new clk. I'm just having problems justifying the cost of a new e55.does the cl 500 have a lot more room than the clk. I havent had a chance to check it out. The dealership called me yest. to let me know they had a low mileage s55 in. So im all confused.I guess i could have a worse dilemma

Paul,

With the baby in future plans, I would consider a 1999-2002 E55. You can find them with low miles, in good shape and they have already taken the big depreciation hit.

Good luck!

I bite the bullet. I picked up a 2001 s55 with 14k miles on it. All i can say so far is that I love it. What a car. I can only imagine how awesome the 2003 must be with 500 hp. Damn! 350HP 400TQ
this car can move for such a big sedan.
Thanks for the help

Damn, I better go check out Ray's. My 430 is up and the girlie still wants a benz. Like you however, future plans limit what I can get as far as size is concerned. hmm.. I will call Ray's and see what they got. Good luck with the ///AMG. It is a beautiful car, SO WHERE ARE YOUR PICS!!! HAHA!!

ldangeli I told the saleswoman about 2 months ago that my lease was coming up in august and i was looking for a very low mileage s55 cl55 cl500 Or an s500 with sport package if one came in to give me a call Luckily for me she did. There was a guy a the dealership that came in right after me that wanted to buy it. Not a scam either he bought a cl500 that they had instead. These big dealerships have rich customers with 3-4 cars that they never use. Like the one i bought. You wouldnt believe
my car wasnt brand new. It didnt have a rock chip on it
Good Luck

i took my clk 430 there for service, at Ray Catena because i was on the road in nj...i gotta tell you they are a very impressive dealership and their starmark selection was actually better than MB manhattan
