Re: 2001 CLK 320 coupe (US model)

hello, I was wanting to know where I could find those AMG Red Caliper Covers. I remeber seeing some on ebay about 7 months ago. Also, I have been looking for that CLK grille with the emblem in the middle. Anyone, know where I could get a good deal on one.

Before I purchase these rotors and brakes I wanted to see if they are worth it or if anyone knows where to get them cheaper.
Rotor Link:
Ebay Rotors

And the Brake Link
Ebay brakes

Big Thanks, Anthony

The calipers were probably painted. You can buy a paint kit and DIY.

AMG doesn't make any red brake calipers for current AMG models.

They probably were painted.. but I remember the guy had tons of them with the AMG sticker claiming they withstand heat. Maybe he made them, dunno.

Re: Grille, Calipers, Rotors

Why do you want stock style brake pads? Go get some Porterfields and get some real stopping power!

The rotors are fairly average price, but use the search button and see what you find. Also check out www.evosport.com if you haven't yet.

Keep in mind...."cheapest" isn't always best. Many times, you get what you pay for. Don't risk safety with your CLK by skimping on cheap/inferior parts.

Good luck.

Well I have the C32 brakes with Porterfield RS4's and no squeelin for me. It helps to use the metal backing plates on the stock pads. I've heard that provides a barrier/cushion preventing squeeling.

Were you able to retain the stock brake sensors?

Sorry chappy........front c32's and stock rears(with porterfields all around).........but I don't see why you can't retain your sensor. I sold my 19's and I'm getting 17" ultra thins within a week so I can take my car to a track.
