2000 CLK430 & 2000 Expedition on 22's
Thinking about selling my CLK430....

I'm thinking about selling my CLK and getting a new Escalade with 26's. What are your guys thoughts? I'm wondering what my CLK is worth? It's a black 2000 CLK430 with about 52000 miles, flawlessly, absolutely perfect, nothing ever wrong with it. It would come with a brand new (not installed) H&R Cup Kit, and I also have 19" chrome rims with custom machined adapters for a CLK. Could sell all or seperate. I read it books for $32,825. But it has a ton of addon packages like heated/neumatic(sp) seats, phone, some special wood grain, etc. So I'm wondering, should I sell it? What's it worth? Anyone want to buy it? Whats the best way to sell it?

Thanks
Tom

2001 CLK 430 Silver
The only thing about getting a Escalade is there seems to be so many of them every were you look, thats what I liked about the CLK 430 is that you don't see that many and they stand out and they always seem to get the WOW factor, face it thats part of why we go out and buy 50,000--90,000 cars because we like people saying WOW coool car, just my 0.2

2000 CLK430 & 2000 Expedition on 22's
Depends on where you live I guess. You never, or rarely, see an escalade on 26's and benz's, whether it be a 430, 320, or different class, alot look a like, and you see them frequently. Don't get me wrong I like my benz, but I'm torn about what to do...

Well you dont see too big trucks with 26's period but where I am every drug dealer and hustler has at least 2 escaldes both new and old. TO me its played out but that doesnt stop Cadillac from selling them like hotcakes...

You really are talking about two different animals... a two door sport coupe and a Large suv...

2000 CLK430 & 2000 Expedition on 22's
Exactly. They're both hot rides regardless. An escalade is a little more practical in the sense that I can fit 8 women in it while a benzo is basically a 2 seater.

So back to my question, anyone want a 2000 CLK430 or some brand new rims with adapters?

Uhhhh. New Escalade w/26's? So, you are going to spend about $55K for the Escalade and about $15K for the rims and tires? Two years from now the Escalade will be worth $35K. Why not buy a used SL500? Talk about wow factor. If you want to fit more gash in the car, what about a used S500? I know the bling bling calls out to alot of people but I agree with one of the other posters..... The Escalades are verywhere. Every other car in Oakland is an Escalade. Word to your mother.

Also you will never have 8 girls in the back of anything you drive unless they are family or you turn it into a taxi... Get real, it only works like that in the rap videos. Lets try to be a little more original..

Hey Lucas, how about you f uck off. Every heard of sarcasm, don't take everything for face value. Original? There's a lot more CLK430's & 320's than escalades on 26's hands down.

Hot rims on a nice car will turn more heads than a hot stock car. Besides it's not totally about looks or any of that. Basically it's time for change, I'll end up getting a different ride in another year anyways, so i'm not at all worried about it losing value, it's the nature of the business.

Why are you guys getting all defensive? First sign of someone mentioning the sale or upgrade from a CLK and the **** starts flying. Ease up, I never said CLK's weren't hot rides. I don't have one parked in my garage for nothing. I'll drop cash on an escalade and roll it around with my CLK and let you haters know which turns more heads.

for your information my friend leased a 2003 Escalade with all the works and installed a fat system, 24" wheels and dropped it. At first he said he loved it and when I spoke to him a month ago he wants to get rid of it and hates it. Its boring and very typical is what he said, not to mention he leased a Porsche turbo and barely drives the escalade

if your interested in his trunk I can set it up for you to speak to him. I think he wants outta of his lease and wanted a fast daily driver.

Used to be a CLK430
Escalades are pimp, but you might not be happy with GM quality after driving a benzo. I drove a chevy pickup for 5 years and a fully decked tahoe for 2 before my CLK, and when I get the craving for a truck, I go to the dealership for a reality check on quality and feel. Good luck on your decision....I expect you to swing down to H-town w/ the 8 hoes in the back!!!!
