Exclamation rear split seats/locking system

Sorry to be asking questions on a daily basis but it seems everyday there is something that the manual doesn't cover fully.
I lowered my split rear seats for the first time yesterday to
load in a set of rims. When I was finished I pushed them back up and expected them to lock into place . They did not catch and i don't see anything that would activate them to lock. I did go in the trunck and pull the release levers thinking this may work in the opposite way and lock them but no luck.
Anyone know what I am doing wrong?
Thanks in advance for any help.

You just gotta get some momentum going and push it back FAST-n-HARD... it will lock back in place.

I thought you engage the lock from inside the trunk. Isn't there like a lever/handle back there somewhere?

Open your trunk and for those latches I was talking about. I am almost positive they are there.

rear seats

As instructed , I went out and gave each seat a good hard shove. Both locked in to place. That's why it is so good to have a board like this.
Thanks again
