Lights Flashing when doors locked

Exclamation Lights Flashing when doors locked
HI,

Just looking to see if anyone else has experienced this situation.
2002 CLK 430, when i use the fob to lock the car, the lights continue to flash after the initial normal 2 flashes.
They continue to flash until i unlock and re lock the car with the fob up to ten times.

Any ideas,

Think this usually means that your alarm siren is needing replacing, sometimes it gets wet try having a look it sits at the back of one of the front wheels behind the lining.
