Search for the perfect "City Light" Bulb...

In the continued search for the perfect "City Light" bulb (h6w) I've purchased a set of these:

http://www.superbrightleds.com/store...images/ba9s-w4

I'll let u guys know how it comes out. Has anyone tried Hoen's yet? A lot of talk about it, but no pictures and its ALWAYS backordered! DOH!

Funny, I put an order for these a few days ago.

In fact, I ordered replacements for every low-wattage light in the car. I'll let you know how that works out.

I'm not sure if I'm going the load resistor way or if I should make an attempt to reprogram the computer for lower current draw...

E 63S Wagon Renntech, E55 Renntech, SL65, SL 55 030, ML, bunch of old ones--they come, they go...
i just put the PIAA's in....

and while they're better than the OE, still not what I was hoping for. They're extreme whites. Lemme know if you guys have any better luck.

I changed mostly every bulb in my car to a diff one. I get that "light bulb" out message.. which really doesn't bother me... so I dont really care. :P Let me know how it goes also.

CLK430ROB,

Did you get LED replacements for the bulbs? If so, which ones did you get, and how do they look? I got these LEDs from superbrightleds.com:

Stop: 2x 1157-R24 Red LED bulb
Turn Signals: 4x 1156-A19 Amber LED bulb Wide
Side markers: 2x WLED-A Amber LED bulb
City (Parking) Lights: 2x BA9s-W4 White LED bulb
Rear lights: 2x 1156-R19 Red LED bulb
License plate: 2x 3910 LED Festoon bulb White

Hopefully I'll receive them this week, but seeing how Sweden beat US in the semifinals, it might take longer :-)

That's not the reason I want LED's all around, I just love the POP of them, especially for turn signals and stop lights.

The license plate LED's I think will make a nice difference as well. Looks way to yellow now.

Please post some pictures, I would love to see how it turns out.

Does that BA9s plug in nicely like a replacement bulb or does it need some adjustments (like cutting off prungs).

If BA9s-W4 White LED bulb can give that nice xenon look then what can I use for the H1 fog lights??

parking lights

Hi, first post. I bought the parking light from superbrightleds.com but it doesn't even fit the parking light which is a H6W bulb ? From Hoen it is not that bright white either still a bit yellowish. And another the philip super white bulb. Which comes out exactly like the original bulb.

Can anybody help where to but a really white H6W bulb that can match the xenon?

Re: parking lights

You were able to get the H6W from Hoen? I have been trying to get these since last December, but they are backordered / out of stock. The lastest I heard from them is I had to bring my car in and have them install them - due to the failures from incorrect installation

Yeah, I was able to get it from them. It's fast though. I think I ordered it before you did. But the lighting that I got from them actually snap when the first time I install them in my car. My recommendaation is a NO NO NO. Well I don't know about wrong installation. I mean Its very easy to install right ? You should know it too. WElll ????

Thumbs up imemikey

WOW...your looks really great. But the light that you got emit out a blue color ? The part that I need is really white. Because my xenon is the 4000k and it is pure white.

Thanks

Hmmmm....

Nice... i think LED's are the way to go for now. I have 7000k natural blue HID's in my car. My car came stock with HID's already, I just changed the HID bulb ($100 each) So these LED's should match up great!

OK.. PICS as promised!!! :P

Please note that I changed out my OEM HID bulbs to Natural Blue 7200k and they are really nice. I been looking for a match and I found them! Please check the earlier posts on this thread for the source.

Picture with M17 Polargs before the change:

Picture of the LED's:

Pretty damn good for 10 bucks :P I'm loving them... Please note the foglights in the picture are Polarg VIP Hybrids.. they suck. I have since put in Raybrig H3's and they are very white.... but nothing compare to the LED's and HID swap out.
