Hi, does anyone know the location of the transmission control module for a 1999 clk320? A point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
It's in the passenger side footwell.....Sorry to answer my own question.
I looked up a replacement TCM for my car on eBay and one of the listings mentioned it was in the passenger side footwell. Took the footwell plate off and sure enough it was there on the backside. It has some slickness to the wires and a bit of slickness on the plugs. I plan on removing the TCM and cleaning it, how long should I leave the battery disconnected before unplugging the TCM? Does it matter?
