Found GREAT City Lights Bulbs (pics)

I just ordered some bulbs from EP Imports to try and match my Xenon lights. This yellow crap next to the bright white Xenon was killing me!

I know, I know, it's insane to spend this much on bulbs, but I figured I would try the Philips H6W and H7's.

Got an email from them telling me the Philips H6w were backordered, so, in the meantime, were shipping me, free of charge, a pair of AdvancedOptik Ultra-Blue H6W, and they would ship me the Philips as well when they got them back in stock next week.

A side note. That impressed the heck out of me. How often does someone ship you free stuff until the backorder is filled. I don't know about you, but that's NEVER happened to me before. That's what you call customer service.

So, just for kicks, I figure I would try them.

Well, I'm impressed!!! They actually look white! Not as bright as the Xenon, of course, but at least the color almost matches (still not quite as white as the Xenon, but close enough)!

Here are some pics:

Just City lights on:

All lights on:

On the other hand, I replaced the Philips High Beams, and didn't see a bit of difference.

Hope this helps.

Cool - Update on photos above

I just noticed that on my original post I didn't mention that, on the photos, the lights on the drivers side were changed to the new lights, and the lights on the passenger side were the original.

Duuuuuuuhhhhh!!!!

Don't I feel stupid. I also posted a new thread because I didn't know if anyone would come back to this one.

Let me know how they work out for you.

I got it, at last...

Hi guys

After a few tries, I finaly got it... Today I bought a pair of light bulbs (leds) that match the xenon's. Besides that, I don't get the malfuntion light inside, what it's great. They are provided by www.sumex.es.
I did had to cut one of the things on the bulb to adapt it but it worked great.

Great buy.

Finally got these put on. Compared to the stock city bulbs much whiter but not brighter. However, once I turned on my xenon headlamps they did not even come close to matching them. So I have three shades when looking at front of car when lights are on: headlamps (very white), city lights (less white) and fog lamps (stock bulb-yelowish). Overall the EP city lights are a decent upgrade.

Leds

That I can't tell you. Are the ones with a round shape and metalic. The other ones with blue plastic don't fit. Besides that, the first time I tried them was with thw engine stopped, but as soon I started the engine and tried the lights, the malfuntion light come on. I read on the forum that this problem can be solved so now I have to take a look. Sorry. No much help

Ebay

Can you believe it??!! I actually got my grill from ebay.

Click here to go to it

You would not believe the amount of stuff I've gotten from ebay.
This is the best place to find anything.

The other place I've ordered from has been Oberklasse

Charles over there has been very helpfull and great to deal with.

I ordered my spoiler from them (which I received and installed - very high quality), and just ordered the S1 front Air Dam

Hope this helps.

Your grill star looks bigger than the one shown on the link (ebay). I have the one shown on the link. It is a total different grill. You can tell by the diameter differences of the star in the one on ebay and yours.

yup, I noticed it too. The star from the one on ebay doesn't make it past the first horizontal bar. This one does. I think this one looks better. I have seen the grill from the one on ebay in real life and it sucks.

Good looking grill.

Thank you

Thank you for the compliment. I do love that grill as well.
I've looked everywhere for the invoice and, of course, I have every one of them, except for that one.

For the life of me, I can't remember where I ordered it from. I ordered just about everything from Ebay, so that's the most likely source, but, if I did, whoever I bough it from does not sell it anymore (though I could have sworn it was from the guy I mentioned before, but I can't be sure).

Sorry about that guys. I'll keep looking though.
