Flowmaster

Hey do you think a flowmaster muffler on a clk 430 would sound similar and as loud as a mustang? Do flowmasters even make an exhaust for the Clk?

Volume can be achieved by pratically any exhaust. The CLK and the Mustang have entirely different engines, while you can easily be as loud as one (with the proper exhaust), you will never sound like a Mustang. Personally, I think that the CLK has a much nicer sound than the Mustang. If you want a loud muffler, go with the Eisenmann Race Muffler.

Is the eisman exhaust just the muffler itself or is it a complete catback system? How does it sound when idling and at full throttle? Thanks

The Eisenmann exhaust is just the muffler. You can get either STREET, HIGH PERFORMANCE, or RACE. Neither are loud at idle, but that changes as you give it gas. If you want to really make it sound nice, add some headers.

Who makes headers for CLK430s? I imagine MKB (I think that's the name) probably does.

Sleestack has MKB headers on his car. We are also in the process of making our own headers, which should be available in the next couple months.

Thanks

never really liked flowmasters...

they just achieve all that "noise" because of the stupid baffles

would rather have some maximum flowage

especially now that kleeman has all those crazy superchargers...

too bad nobody is turbo-ing benzos like mosselman use to do
