Josh K or anyone with RS kit

Josh K,
I noticed you left the AMG side skirts when you installed the Carlsson kit.

My question is how different is the Carlsson rear bumper from the AMG rear bumper?

Do you like the Carlsson better?

Do you think the Carlsson front would look bad with the AMG sideskirts and AMG rear bumper?

Also, what is the rear diffuser?

Thanks.

The RS rear bumper is very different from the AMG one. I personally like the look of the RS bumper better but I don't think that it would look bad if you just installed the front.

As for the sideskirts, I personally prefer the AMG sideskirts to the Carlsson ones, so I still have the Carlsson ones sitting in my garage if anyone wants them. (cheap)

The rear diffuser is the black section on my rear bumper. Check out pics of my car to see what I'm talking about.

Thanks Josh.

By the way, did you get your kit from Felix?

Also, if you get a chance, PM me with what you are asking for the Carlsson side skirts.

Thanks again.

Re: Josh K or anyone with RS kit

i have the RS replica kit on my car. I would recommend using the AMG side skirts if you want to utilize your stock jack. If i had left the stock amg side skirts on my car, i would have been able to put on my spare tire earlier tonight, instead of having my car towed 200 miles on a flatbed =(

The front bumper doesnt utilize the bumper moulding or internal crash foam, so I cut off the lower part of the replica and molded it to my OEM bumper. Using this method, all the OEM hardware is used as everywhere the bumper attatches to the car is OEM bumper.

The rear is a bit easier to fit. The only thing you need from the OEM bumper is the mounting that sits inside of the bumper cover.

Should you choose to use the sideskirts I imagine that they go on using the stock fittings.
