01 CLK320: what to get done before car goes out of warranty
I have a 01 CLK320 that will be going out of warranty very soon. It hasn't given me any major problems so far. At one time display clusters digits came off so they had to change the whole thing.
I am wondering if I should watch out for any known problems and probably have them checked while my car is under warranty.
Any feedback or tip will be apprecaited.

My clk320 01 has 48K about to hit 49K. Im buying a warranty from this one company next week (cant recall the name) for $2800 that covers a lot. Its the kind of warranty a place like Carmax will sell you when a car is purchased from them. The good thing is its only 10% down and is financed intrest free for 24months. I wish I could extend my warranty through Mercedes but they won't let me because I bought it from the previous owner. But hey I saved like 7500.00.

I bought a Chrysler Maximum Care warranty for 3,000.00 4 yr 100,000 mile, bumper to bumper, 100.00 deduct , Have not used it yet ,but it covers just about anything even shocks.

Have The Crank Pulley Inspected for cracks...
Inspect the dash for cracks around the pass air bag cover and defrost vents
Fuel tank sending units
rear diff oil leaks
trans opperation
motor mounts
mass air sensor
Best bet purchase a extended warranty!
