Wiring for Kenwood DDX773bh in 2001 Mercedes Benz Clk320 issue
I have an aftermarket head unit installed in my clk320. I have managed to get it to power by utilizing a meta wiring harness for a vw that I have and switching the pins around a bit so it fits the vehicle. What I cannot manage to figure out is where to run the yellow 12v battery wire so that the memory does not reset every time I power the ignition off. Can somebody please help? I've been at this for a couple of weeks and its driving me insane. Also my bluetooth is not connecting 9r syncing with my galaxy note 8. Could this possibly be because the firmware for the receiver needs to be updated? I'm at a loss on this one.

When I put in my Sony, crutchfield said the yellow & red are reversed for clk. I tapped into the lighter for switched power and got constant through the harness. Hope this helps

Got it.
Was just switching wires up on the harness and figured it out just before I dropped back in. Doesnt look pretty but the job is done and as long as it's all isolated correctly who cares cause nobody sees the mess back there anyhow. Lol many thanks for your reply.
