Convertible top replacement cost
The seam above the rear window of my 2002 CLK320 has split open. I took it to a top and upholstery shop today who quoted me $1,800 (installed) for a new top (German A5 canvas) with rear window and lifetime warranty on the replacement top. My headliner is resuable. Does that seem to be in line with what others who have replaced their canvas have found?

Split roof seams rarely occur on the A208.
It's much more common on the next generation A209 chassis cabriolets.
Within that forum, you find many DIY seam repair and/or roof replacement information.
