Help installing ESL Emulator

Hi all,
for about 6 months now my car (2002 clk-430) has been having the symptoms related to a bad ESL, where the key will not turn at all until after a couple tries. That then turned to a few tries, quite a few tries, and now I'll find myself in my car for 10 minutes turning the wheel hoping to get a "perfect position" to start the car. I'm currently in D.C. area, wondering if the cold affects it more. With that said, the wheel does not lock at all. After searching online, I came to understand it is a faulty esl and that an emulator is an option, since it's locked in the open position. I've ordered an esl emulator that's expected to reach tomorrow.

My question, where/do I find the connector that I need to connect it to? I see videos online, but the cord is already pulled out. I assume the eis is connected to the esl and that I'm to disconnect them and instead connect the emulator to the eis. Is that correct? I removed the cover below the steering wheel, but do not see what wire I need to connect the emulator to.

I've tried searching through here, but do not find what I need. Can anyone tell me how to access this connector and/or post pictures?

Thanks!

Did you ever get this resolved? What ESL emulator did you purchase?
