Weird A/C Issue

Hey guys.

First time posting on this forum.
I have a 2000 CLK 430
I am having an A/C issue and am looking for input as the local euro shop I took it to is stumped as well.

While at that shop they evacuated the system and refilled with new R134. They checked all the switches and valves and all is working as designed. There are no fault codes. We had a problematic HVAC panel that was replaced and the problem still exists.

When the vehicle is started the A/C works great. As soon as the auxiliary fans turn on, the compressor disengages and will not reengage until that drive cycle is over and the vehicle is restarted. At that point it starts all over again.

Please help.

When you said that there were no fault codes, do you mean none on the interior ac panel or codes from the OBD reader?

On the A/C panel or the OBD.

if there are any codes stored on the AC console, the compressor will shut down...gothrough the access procedure (do search in this forum) and make sure there are none stored...do the clear procedure even if none there

I just re-ran the diagnostic on the A/C panel and these 2 codes were present:

B1234 Sun sensor
B1235 Emission sensor

Any idea what these are and how to correct?

clear the codes...believe it reads FF when you clear it...see if returns after run AC

the b1234 will have no effect on AC
the b1235 simply closes off fresh air if smog coming in

not sure if clearing codes will help..but it's a cheap start

I cleared the codes and they immediately reappeared.
